The 3530 Atmospheric Viscometer can be calibrated using a viscosity calibration fluid by measuring a certified standard fluid and comparing the instrument dial reading or viscosity

to the known viscosity value. It can also be calibrated using certified weights, which apply known torque loads to the measurement system to verify the mechanical torque response of the viscometer in dial readings. For complete calibration procedures, acceptance criteria, and documentation requirements, refer to the 3530 operating and maintenance manual.

Visit our website and go to the product page that matches your item. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Manuals.” From there, you can download the manual you need. To view all of the manuals available, click here.

Pressurized viscometers, such as the 5550 or 7550 are calibrated by analyzing standard calibration fluids of know viscosity under controlled temperature and shear rate conditions, typically the software will adjust the slope, intercept, and linearity settings against and compare the known values. Regular calibration ensures precise torque readings for accurate Centipoise measurements.
